I also don't support the electoral college, but the existence of faithless electors isn't really a great argument because they hardly show up and most states have laws against faithless electors (although rarely are they enforced)

Honestly just getting kind of tiresome and sad. My dad (1943-2020) spent his entire life calling the US a 'Banana Republic' saying that for all the good they did in ww2, everything that followed was cultural imperialism and what not.
