This is the most ass backwards analysis I've ever heard. Counting each vote equally would disenfranchise people? Larger states would dominate? No state would dominate because winning a state would be meaningless. Population centers might dominate because that's where the people are and we are a nation of people, not a nation of empty land. I don't see how that's worse than the current system of a handful of swing states dominating discussion and whole regions being ignored. California represents over 10% of the US population and has the GDP of a medium sized nation but is ignored in presidential races because it's reliably Democrat. Similar for New York. Does that seem fairer?

Honestly just getting kind of tiresome and sad. My dad (1943-2020) spent his entire life calling the US a 'Banana Republic' saying that for all the good they did in ww2, everything that followed was cultural imperialism and what not.
