Getting rid of this system would require passing a constitutional amendment implementing ranked choice voting, which would be a monumental undertaking. Even then it would take years to see a third party president and Congress would still be under a two party system unless RCV is implemented by each state.

Honestly just getting kind of tiresome and sad.
